WARM VS COLD

YONI BATH VS ICE BATH
The Wim Hof Method has become increasingly popular in recent years. This method consists of three components, one of which involves exposure to cold temperatures, ranging from cold showers to ice baths. The goal is to strengthen the immune system.
While ice baths can have incredible benefits for the nervous system, it's important to understand female biology and how the stress the body experiences can cause fertility problems. The female body responds, among other things, by increasing the stress hormone cortisone. However,
most of the science behind biohacking is based on male biology, which is much simpler and more predictable than female biology. The female body is more sensitive to temperature changes than the male body. It is absolutely essential to keep the uterus warm during the luteal and menstrual phases of the menstrual cycle. Cold therapy can have adverse effects on fertility, progesterone, the adrenal glands, and testosterone.
Several studies, though few, have shown that cold causes reduced fertility.
When is it best to avoid cold or ice-cold baths, showers, or swimming?
1. During menstruation! This causes the uterus to encounter a lot of resistance to cleansing, leading to an imbalance in the long term, or even the following month. (Keep your womb warm!)
2. During the luteal phase. This phase begins after ovulation. During this phase, the body prepares for a possible pregnancy. The hormone progesterone is produced. This hormone is important because it helps prepare the uterine lining to support a potential pregnancy if an abortion occurs. (Avoiding stress during this period is essential!)
During these phases, we also do not recommend steaming if you are trying to conceive. So, we really only recommend steaming if you are trying to conceive after your period. This phase is called the follicular phase. During this phase, you could also consider taking a cold shower or ice bath if you want to experience the benefits of the Wim Hof Method yourself.
If you're trying to conceive, steaming is still the preferred option. We'll be using heat, which offers more fertility benefits for women than cold. These days, especially in this heat, opt for a shower with lukewarm-cold water. Just not cold enough to shock your body.
That being said, it means recognizing that we're different from men, and that it's not a disadvantage, but rather something we should embrace and see as a gift. We understand that what works for men isn't always as good for women!
Hopefully, you found this blog post incredibly interesting. Were you already uncomfortable taking cold baths, and now you understand why? Suggestions and comments are welcome.
